+ How do I become a Lotto Player?
Its easy. Just access an online application form by clicking on this link: PLAY NOW. Then, simply follow the easy to follow steps on the form.
+ How do I suspend my membership?
Should you wish to suspend your current subscription you can do so with immediate effect through your Member’s website (Click on the ‘My Details’ section and then the ‘My Account’ button on the left menu). This allows you to easily start playing again in future, without having to re-apply or re-enter your details.
+ How do I cancel my membership?
To cancel your e-lottery membership completely, with immediate effect, click on the ‘My Details’ section of your Member’s page and then the ‘My Account’ button on the left-hand menu of the page. Alternatively, you can give notice of your cancellation request by emailing admin@vwdmail.com giving 28 days’ notice (please include your name and membership number). An email confirming your cancellation will be sent to you within 48 hours. Your membership will be deemed cancelled once we respond to your request.
Please Note: If you wish to rejoin e-lottery at a later date, you will have to re-apply and fill in all your information again. It is easier to simply suspend your subscription if you think you will play again in the future
+ Are my credit card details safe?
Yes. One of the main worries - and rightly so - of any shopper using an online shop is: Is it safe to send my card details across the internet? VWDs e-payment network uses digital signatures and strong encryption to ensure that all sensitive information is protected throughout the payment process. Using Industry Standard encrypted transactions secured by .thawte certificates – a leading global Certification Authority.
+ Can I choose my own lottery numbers?
No. Because of the way the numbers are distributed, each syndicate must be allocated a set of numbers which cannot be changed
+ Do my numbers change?
Not normally. However, from time to time, syndicates become a bit fragmented due to Members coming and going, so there are occasional “housekeeping” periods to tidy them up
+ When do I start paying?
As soon as you receive an email confirmation that your application has been accepted (normally within seconds of you submitting your online application form) you will be playing in the next UK Lotto and/or EuroMillions draw. Applications accepted before 6.00pm UK time on the day of a draw will allow you to play in that day’s draw
+ How long do I play for?
You can play for as short or as long a time as you like. When you join you can choose to pay every one, two or four weeks in advance. You may then suspend your subscription at any stage
+ Does a lottery syndicate have to be full before I start playing?
No. Any empty places in an e-lottery syndicate will be filled by the company, to ensure that your syndicate’s numbers are always entered in every draw.
+ Do I have to find other members to play in my syndicate?
No. All syndicates are managed by VWD, so each of the other places in your syndicate is taken by other members who could be located anywhere in the world.
+ How can I change my personal details
You can change any of your details by logging in to your Member website; it’s accessible 24 hours a day. Simply click on the ‘My Details’ section.
+ Is VWD linked in any way to the National Lottery?
No. Virtual World Direct Ltd is a private, independent syndicate management company.

+ Does VWD have any recognised accreditation
Yes. VWD are members of the Lotteries Council, an organisation representing the interests of various companies and other bodies engaged in lawful lottery-related activities.
+ What if I dont make regular lottery subscriptions?
If your e-lottery subscription payment is not received on the due date, for whatever reason, unfortunately you will immediately lose your syndicate place. You will be notified of this by email and SMS message to your mobile phone, if you have left those details
All credit/debit card transactions, both successful and unsuccessful, are recorded by VWD and by the Merchant processing bank. If your credit/debit card was not processed successfully and the syndicate from which you were consequently removed goes on to win,VWD are not liable for paying you winnings. The optional Entry Protection Deposit (EPD) is there to protect you from this scenario.
+ What is an entry protection deposit?
This is a deposit which is held in reserve and used only in the event of a payment failure. It secures your syndicate place so you never miss out on a draw should there be a problem processing your credit/debit card, etc.
+ What currency is used?
All transactions are in British pounds sterling (GBP). This includes all initial and ongoing e-lottery subscriptions and payment of winnings. If that isn’t your national currency, an easy-to-use online currency converter is always available via a link on your Member website
+ How am I notified of winnings?
All members are notified of a syndicate win by email within hours of each draw regardless of the amount won. Your wins are automatically credited to your online Member Account.
+ How are syndicate winnings divided?
All winnings are divided equally between syndicate members: 49 in UK Lotto syndicates, 39 in EuroMillions syndicates
+ How do I receive my winnings?
When you win, 100% of your share of the winnings are credited to your online account. When your winnings reach the payment threshold that you have selected, a payment is issued to you via your choice of cheque, Click2Pay or MoneyBookers.
+ How can I receive a payment in a different currency?
e-lottery operates in British pounds sterling (GBP). Should you wish to receive any winnings in an alternative currency, we recommend you use MoneyBookers or Click2Pay.
By using one of these electronic methods, your account is credited with a GBP amount and you are able to withdraw these funds in your local currency.
